SECURITY AT READYLIFE

Your documents stay private by design.

Learn how ReadyLife protects family documents with local storage, AES-GCM encryption, iOS Keychain protection and biometrics.

THE SHORT ANSWER

ReadyLife v1 keeps the vault on your iPhone. Records and document files are encrypted with AES-GCM, the encryption key is protected by the iOS Keychain, and iOS authenticates access with Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode. The app has no ReadyLife account, cloud database, ad SDK or analytics SDK.

DATA

Stored on your device

ReadyLife does not operate a server copy of your documents or extracted information in v1.

KEY

Protected by iOS

The vault key lives behind Keychain access control and device authentication.

CODE

Processed locally

Recognition, document suggestions and search run with Apple frameworks on the iPhone.

01

The safest unnecessary transfer is the one that never happens.

ReadyLife v1 stores the vault inside the app’s protected area on your iPhone. The app has no account system or remote document database, so adding a passport or certificate does not create a ReadyLife server copy.

The developer does not receive your document content, extracted text, names, identifiers, household profiles or vault search activity. Apple and iOS may process information through system services under Apple’s own terms, but ReadyLife does not receive your vault from those services.

02

Vault data and files are encrypted at rest.

ReadyLife uses AES-GCM authenticated encryption for structured records and document files. Authenticated encryption is designed to protect confidentiality while also detecting unauthorized changes to encrypted data.

Stored files additionally use iOS complete file protection. This gives ReadyLife another operating-system boundary tied to the locked state of the device.

03

The encryption key is guarded by the iOS Keychain.

The vault key is protected using iOS Keychain access control. Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode is required to make that key available. Biometric comparison is handled by iOS; ReadyLife does not receive or store your fingerprint or face data.

ReadyLife locks when it moves to the background. This reduces the chance of leaving sensitive screens visible after switching to another app.

04

Document understanding runs on the iPhone.

ReadyLife uses Apple system frameworks for text recognition and, when supported, Apple Intelligence for structured suggestions. Search also runs locally after the vault is unlocked. This keeps core document processing away from a ReadyLife cloud service.

Local processing improves privacy, but it does not make extraction infallible. The app presents suggested details for your review before saving them.

05

No advertising profile and no app analytics SDK.

ReadyLife v1 contains no advertising SDK, behavioral analytics SDK or account-based tracking system. It does not sell personal information. Local notifications are scheduled by the app on the iPhone and can be configured to reveal less detail.

Visiting this marketing website is separate: its hosting provider processes normal request data such as IP address, browser information, page and time so it can deliver and protect the site. ReadyLife does not add marketing cookies or behavioral trackers.

06

No server copy also means no server recovery.

The ReadyLife vault directory is excluded from device backups. Version 1 does not provide cloud sync, recovery or a developer-held emergency key. Losing or erasing the iPhone can therefore mean losing the vault.

This is an explicit security trade-off, not a hidden feature gap. Keep legally required originals and do not use ReadyLife as the only copy of irreplaceable material. Optional encrypted sync is being considered for the future and would require equally clear privacy choices before release.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Good to know.

Does ReadyLife upload document scans?

No. ReadyLife v1 does not send document images, PDFs, extracted text, identifiers or household profiles to ReadyLife servers.

Which encryption does ReadyLife use?

ReadyLife encrypts vault records and files using authenticated AES-GCM encryption. Files also use iOS complete file protection.

Can the developer reset my vault access?

No. There is no ReadyLife account or remote recovery key. If the local key and device access are lost, the developer cannot unlock or restore the vault.

Is any system completely secure?

No. ReadyLife reduces exposure through local storage, encryption and minimal data collection, but no security measure can guarantee absolute protection. Device security and careful handling still matter.
