The short version
The Ready iPhone app does not collect your data. It does not require an account, contains no advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not upload your documents, document text, names, identifiers, or household details to Ready.
Documents and structured details are stored in an encrypted vault on your device. Text recognition, document understanding, and search happen on-device. Ready currently has no cloud sync or server copy of your vault.

Information you choose to keep in Ready
You may add document photos, scans, PDFs, extracted text, document numbers, names, dates, issuers, household profiles, profile photos, and reminder preferences. This can include highly sensitive information and information about family members.
This information is used only on your device to organize the vault, show document details, power search, and schedule reminders you request. It is not transmitted to or accessible by Ready.

On-device processing
Ready uses Apple system frameworks to recognize text and, when available, Apple Intelligence to suggest structured document details. That processing happens on your device. Ready asks you to review extracted information before saving because automated recognition can be incomplete or incorrect.
Search also runs locally and only after your vault is unlocked.

What leaves your device
The iPhone app
Ready v1 does not send app content or usage analytics to Ready or to advertising companies. It has no account system, remote database, advertising SDK, or tracking technology. Ready does not sell or share personal information.
This website
When you visit this website, its hosting provider necessarily processes standard request information such as your IP address, browser information, requested page, and request time to deliver and protect the site. Ready does not use website advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, or marketing cookies.
Apple may process information through iOS, the App Store, and Apple services under Apple’s own terms and privacy policies. Ready does not receive your document content from those services.

Device permissions
- Camera: used only when you choose to scan a document.
- Photos: used only to import images you select.
- Files: used only to import a PDF or file you select.
- Face ID or device authentication: used by iOS to unlock Ready’s encryption key. Ready does not receive your biometric data.
- Notifications: used to deliver document reminders you enable. Notification details can be hidden in Ready’s settings.
You can change camera, photo, biometric, and notification permissions in iOS Settings.

Security and backups
Ready encrypts vault data and document files on-device using AES-GCM. The encryption key is protected in the iOS Keychain and requires Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode. Stored files also use iOS complete file protection, and Ready locks when it moves to the background.
The Ready vault directory is excluded from device backups. Ready currently provides no cloud backup, sync, or recovery service. If your device is lost, damaged, erased, or inaccessible, Ready cannot restore your vault.
No security measure can guarantee absolute protection. Keeping iOS updated and protecting your device passcode remain important.

Retention and deletion
Your vault remains on your device until you delete individual items, choose Erase all Ready data in Ready’s Settings, or remove the app. Erasing all Ready data deletes the encrypted vault, document files, and Ready’s encryption key from the device. This cannot be undone because Ready has no server copy.
Removing the app deletes its local app container under iOS. If you want Ready to remove its Keychain encryption key as well, use Erase all Ready data before uninstalling.

Children’s information
Ready is intended for adults organizing their own or their household’s documents. It is not directed to children. If you add information about a child or another person, you are responsible for having the authority to store it and for using it appropriately. That information remains in the local encrypted vault and is not collected by Ready.

Your choices
You control what you add, which permissions you grant, whether reminders show document details, and when information is deleted. Because Ready has no account or server copy of your vault, there is no remote personal-data profile for Ready to access, export, correct, or delete.

Changes to this policy
Ready’s capabilities may evolve. If a future version adds cloud sync, accounts, analytics, or other processing that changes these practices, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before that processing is introduced. The effective date at the top shows when this policy was last revised.
